An intense, emotional work with my own text.
 
This is my most personal, autobiographical and emotional piece. In 1989 my wife and I had a baby son who was born very prematurely and died after ten days. The piece was written thirty-five years later, and recalls a specific moment.
 
The title Pavane indicates the musical character mood of the piece, referring as it does to a slow, processional couples' dance.
